A Tuscan beauty

Believed to be originally built in the 18th century this "casale" or farmer's house was mostly made of local stone and bricks but had not foundation and when we found it was a mere ruin. We redesigned and rebuilt her from the bottom up, with an antiseismic structure, using only materials produced locally. We have kept the original outside walls restoring them brick by brick. We have designed a wooden balcony n the center of the house to allow light and sound to pervade her, enhancing the sense of  community within the house. A 7mt high fireplace in the main salon stands as an icon diffusing warmth and comfort.
